Frequently Asked Questions

Aren’t people who go to therapy “crazy”?

No. Even therapists, like myself, face some hardship in life and challenging situations when we can benefit from professional help to help us access our strengths and see our potentials.

Therapy is a collaborative process. Together, you and I will have the opportunity to broaden the possibilities of better understanding yourself as well as acknowledging your potentials. You will use this knowledge to change thoughts and behavior patterns to help you achieve emotional stability and the realization of more conscious choices.

Do you accommodate walk-ins?

No. Office hours are by appointment only. Please schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation.

How long does therapy last?

In general, psychotherapy is a process of a few months of duration, with a minimum frequency of one session of 45-50 minutes on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

Is Online Counseling for me?

Many people have experienced the same trust, authenticity, safety, and comfort, whether they are in the same room or the comfort of their own home.

Before our first session, we will have a FREE no-obligation 20-minute phone or video consultation to chat about your specific needs, goals, and questions, and explore your options.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept Husky insurance (Medicaid) only.

I am, also, an out of network provider; I do not bill other insurances directly. Many insurance plans will still reimburse clients for a portion of the therapy fees. I can provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

You need to contact your insurance for clarification since each agreement has its specific features and values for reimbursement.

Uninsured Patients / Self-Pay. If you do not have insurance or if your insurance does not cover the services provided, payment for all services is due at the time of your visit. (Cash or Credit Card)

What is Play Therapy?

Play is the child's language and... toys are the child's words!(Association for Play Therapy)

Children communicate through play to express some of the hidden feelings and thoughts. As a Registered Play Therapist, I can use therapeutic powers of play in a Play Therapy session to allow the child to take the lead in exploring the psychological issues and build healing relationships.
